Paj-Puj: The Conjunction <span style="font-family:sans-serif;">يۇ</span>

The Conjunction يۇ

يۇ» باغلىغۇچىسى»

The conjunction يۇ may be attached directly to the end of the first phrase in a two-phrase sentence, and is used to express the speaker's disbelief about the subject's ability to complete an action. It may be seen as being analogous to the English "if even... can't..., then how can...?"

If even I don't know this, how would you know?
بۇ ئىشنى مەن بىلمەيمەنيۇ، سىز قانداق بىلىسىز؟

If I - as young as I am - can't make it out, then how would you, old as you are, be able to?
مەن يېشىم كىچىك تۇرۇپ كۆرەلمەيمەنيۇ، سىزنىڭ يېشىڭىز جوڭ تۇرۇپ قانداق كۆرەلەيسىز؟

If even she can't get a perfect score on the exam, then how will you be able to?
ئۇ ئىمتىھاندىن تولۇق نومۇر ئالالمايدۇيۇ، سەن قانداق ئالالايسەن؟

If even I can't do this, then what makes you think that you can?
بۇ ئىشنى مەن قىلالمايمەنيۇ، سىززە قانداق قىلالايسىز؟
