The Particle لا in Conditional Sentences

پەرەز مەيلىدىكى جۈملىدىكى «لا» يۈكلىمىسى

When coupled with a verb in the conditional, the particle لا creates structures analogous to the English "if... just..., (then)..." and indicates a sufficient condition. The adverb پەقەت may be added for additional emphasis.

If you just work hard, your grades will improve a lot.
.پەقەت تىرىشسىڭىزلا، نەتىجىڭىز ياخشى بولۇپ كېتىدۇ

If you just put a little bit of cumin on the kebab, it'll be really delicious.
.كاۋاپقا ئازراق زىرە سەپسىڭىزلا، مەززىلىك بولۇپ كېتىدۇ

.مۇئەللىمنىڭ گېپىنى ئاڭلىسىڭىزلا، ياخشى ئوقۇغۇچىلاردىن بولالايسىز

If you just write a zero in this number's ones' place, it'll be correct.
.بۇ ساننىڭ بىرلەر خانىسىغا نۆلنى يازسىڭىزلا توغرا بولىدۇ

In other contexts, coupling لا with the conditional creates structures analogous to those created with the English "whenever..." or "every time that...", and states that a certain event occurs always or regularly when the action in the conditional is performed.

That guy's really lazy. Whenever I go into his office, he's not there.
.ئۇ ئاداش بەك ھۇرۇن، ئىشخانىسىغا كىرسەملا ئۇ يوق

Whenever I look at you, I'm reminded of your father.
.سېنى كۆرسەملا داداڭنى ئەسلەيمەن

.مۇئەللىم ھېچنېمە بىلمەيدىكەن، دائىم سورىساملا جاۋاب بېرەلمەيدۇ

The same meaning may be achieved by combining لا with a gerund and the postposition بىلەن.

Whenever I go up to the front of that teahouse, the boss always comes out to welcome me.
.مەن دائىم ئۇ چايخانىنىڭ ئالدىغا بېرىشىم بىلەنلا، خوجايىن مېنى قارشى ئالغىلى چىقىدۇ
