Dropping the Possessive Suffix in Titles

ناملاردىكى تەۋەلىك قوشۇمچىسىنىڭ چۈشۈپ قېلىشى

With personal (e.g., "Mother", "Father") and job (e.g., "Boss") titles, the possessive suffix is often left out, as using it may change the intended meaning. For example, calling someone ئاكام ("my older brother") instead of ئاكا ("older brother") might sound strangely impersonal in some contexts when addressing one's kin.

Forgive me, Brother.
.كەچۈر مېنى، ئاكا
